Yoga is a word that we all know has been termed so well. Yoga is such a common term in each culture that this Sanskrit word has been added into English dictionaries. The word yoga has its origins and roots in the Hindu culture and so does this practice.

The book, Turn Within, says that yoga involves a lot of breathing exercises, poses and medication tactics that help a person to relax and reduce their stress. Health and psychology experts all around the world claim that yoga is hands down the most beneficial physical exercise for both the physical and mental health of a person and these claims are conveniently backed up by science and research as well.


 

Depression and anxiety are the most threatening brain concerns only because they damage a person silently. Experts say that yoga is one of the most beneficial practices for coping up with anxiety and depression, while regularly practicing yoga can make these things go away. A lot of studies show that yoga helps in fighting depression and some other mental illnesses that are caused by stress. It has some great antidepressant effects on the mind that can help reduce the symptoms of depression significantly.

The coming of yoga to the Western world continued even after Indira Devi opened her yoga studio in Hollywood in 1947. After that,a lot of western and Indian teachers have become pioneers in yoga and are popularizing the modern version, hatha yoga and are managing to make millions of followers. Hatha Yoga now has many different schools or styles and all of them emphasize many different aspects of the practice.Yoga is claimed to have the capability of improving a person's brainpower by rejuvenating the brain muscles. Yoga is a great way to detox your body and get rid of those extra toxins in the body.
