Psalms for Hope during Trials and Tribulations | Olayinka Olusola Akisanya

We all have to face different trials and tribulations in life. It doesn’t where we are or how we live, dark times fall upon us all. And that’s just the way life is. But the most crucial part of facing adversity is trusting God throughout the process and let Him guide you back to the righteous path in life. Author and devoted Christian, Olayinka Olusola Akisanya has faced many obstacles in life, but none of them ever withered her hope in God and Jesus Christ, Instead, it only strengthened and solidified it. In her latest book, Surviving the Opposite 978-1951630836, Akisanya shares parables and verses from the Holy Bible to help readers understand the purpose of trials and tribulation in our lives, as well learning how to overcome them through God’s teachings.

God’s most beloved prophets and only son were not even exempt from facing adversities in life. These obstacles are what brought them the closest to God and made them a part of God’s glorious plan. When we understand the fact that God allows trials and tribulations in life for a reason or purpose that is ultimately beneficial for us, it becomes easier to navigate them with a clear mind and a godly heart. Dr. David Jeremiah, one of the most trust Bible teachers in America, shares Psalms that can offer people guidance through the most difficult times in life:

· Psalm 71- For when we feel like everyone is against us:

We will encounter trials. In fact, Jesus instructed His disciples to expect them. But in the midst of it all, God invites us to acknowledge the weight of our pain and suffering before Him. When it feels like the world is against us (and maybe it is!), we know that God never walks away from us or fails us. He is our refuge, our strength, and our salvation.

· Psalm 121- For when we feel discouraged and helpless:

God often encourages us, guides us, and upholds us through other believers, but our first call for help goes to Him. As we cry out, He may speak to us through other people, through our quiet times in the Word or prayer, or a still small voice when we least expect it. God enables those around us to support us, yet it is His work. He is the One we call to and the One worthy of our praise.

· Psalm 13- For when we feel like God has forgotten us:

Sometimes we wonder why God is taking so long. Is He ignoring us? Is He punishing us for something? Does He not care? The truth is that God’s love never ceases; His mercies never come to an end (Lamentations 3:22). Though He sometimes delays, God never deserts us. Because He is faithful, we can sing to the Lord and recognize His blessings in our lives, whatever our circumstances.
