It’s just how life is

Life is like learning to ride a bicycle, no matter how careful you are you will still fall a couple of times until you finally learn to ride it on your own. And even when you become a pro at it, falling is inevitable when the terrain changes. This is what life is all about; change. Things change and with time we learn to ride through those changes until one day we realize how we have become used to all of it now. Life doesn't get better you just find positive things in different scenarios and before you know it the things that made you miserable before are no more relevant.

Life doesn't care about what you are going through or what you might be experiencing, it follows its time table. Even if you are still on the ground by the previous knocking punch you got, it won't refrain from throwing another while you recover. But, as they say, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. So, all you need to do is be persistence. Don't lose sight of your destination. Your body can achieve what your mind can follow, all you need to do is keep that mind of yours in control and keep that determination to survive ignited at all times.

You need to have a clear vision of what you want and why do you want it. Once you have figured that out, look at yourself in the mirror and imagine when you reach your goal. Then decide where you want to be? Is it the display in the mirror or the image that built up in your mind? After you have chosen never look back. No, it won't be easy but if it was everyone would have done it. You need to be willing to give it all. Yes, life is hard but it is not brutal. The difficulty life brings you is to help you survive.

The way that some people might take is a heads on strategy; they refuse to give up. They did hit the ground and it did hurt but I also made them realize that they can tolerate the pain. The hands on battle with situations give them more strength, they feed on it and work their way ahead. Life changes and there will always be something new that you will go up against. You will have to choose for yourself and decide if what lies past the torment is worth it.

Many untold stories are outstanding examples of resistance; hope and perseverance are the keys to go through any kind of phase. One of those inspirational stories is "The Long Journey" by Denys Nshimiyimana (ISBN 978-1079662801). Denys is a world war survivor; the book is filled with the appalling yet inspirational life experiences he had. The circumstances he faced were brutal but his determination to live and the hope for a better future gave him the courage to do things he couldn't have imagined otherwise. Whether it was eating grass to live or sleeping under a pile of dead bodies to escape bullets he was able to do it because of his strong mindset and the clear vision of what lied ahead.
