How to Advertise Your Business on a Budget – C. Naomi Covington

If there is one thing that all successful businesses and companies have in common, it is their efficient use of advertisement to promote their products and services. One of the major keys of running a successful business is advertising and promoting your products and services appropriately to the right audience and on the right platform. With the advances being made in the field of technology, different social media apps have made it extremely easy for businesses and company to advertise their products and services.

The first and most essential step to advertising and promoting your business is to tell and talk to people about it. You cannot depend on another person to do that, especially when it is your business and who knows better about it than you. Exactly! That is why you need to be the one to get the word about your business around. Now, advertising your business can cost you a good amount of money. So you’ll need to round up a budget for it. It doesn’t need to be a big budget, advertisement and promotion is more about playing smart rather than paying big. So you can successfully promote your business in an affordable budget. You just have to be smart about it.

The most common and traditional way to keep advertising your business is giving out your business, every time you come in contact with a potential client. Promoting and advertising your business through email can be beneficial as well, make sure to have your business name, the logo, and your contact information along with a promotional tagline. Adding links to your business’s Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter, can provide interested clients with information about your services and products at the touch of their fingertips. Use emails to send out additional information about your business and special offers, prices or discounts, keep the clients updated and interested with your business’s progress.

Social media is going to be your best friend, when it comes to business advertisement and promotions. Almost everyone nowadays is regularly using apps like Facebook, Snapchat, and Instagram, use this to your advantage. Start a page for your business, post creative and attention grabbing ads and pictures of your products and services. Basically, serve and reach out to your target audience through social media. It can be quick and easy, you can even do this all by yourself, if you can manage your time and work. Similarly, you can write and get articles and blogs written by someone else, to promote your business. In these articles and blogs, you can write about topics related to your business and profession, even a couple lines about yourself. The more specific your topic is, the better it is. You can send these out to be featured on different websites and blogs, which are always looking for guestposts. But, keep in mind, the websites or blogs you send out your articles to should have enough traffic to help your business and not hurt it. Author and entrepreneur, C. Naomi Covington, has written a virtual guide titled “It’s Simply Business Credit: For Aspiring Entrepreneurs, Government Contractors, and Franchise Owners”, for fresh entrepreneurs along with other professionals, to guide them into running a successful business.
