How does education in Germany differ from the rest of the world?

People claim that the time that they spent while their stay in Germany going through whatever degree programs they were staying there for, was the most amazing time of their lives and that they would move the earth in order to have that time back. But, what is it about Germany that makes it so popular and attractive? Well, Germany is undoubtedly the most attractive and most preferred student destination in the world and students from all across the globe consider it as one of their destinations to be for their degree programs. And, no country has even come close to matching the quality of education that Germany has in this cost.

The education systems in Germany and the quality of education that the German education systems provide are known to be the best in the world mainly because of the fact that free-of-charge education cannot get any better than what Germany is providing. They never compromise on the quality of education even if all their degree programs are state-funded. Here are a few things that happen in Germany which are completelydifferent from the rest of the world:

a. Registration for the Courses:

Registering for a course in German universities looks very different from other countries. In Germany, you have to register each course separately and you cannot do it online or on a portal you have to reach out to the professors of the courses and ask them to let you in on the courses via emails or letters and then wait for them to let you attend thecourse. To some people, it might seem, to be a bit messy but it has its own fun and the teachers think that the students take thestudies more seriously because they have had to fight for the seats in the courses.

b. You Don’t have to suffer from “Dormitories”:

Germany does not believe in the American style dorm rooms. German universities do not host dormitories and hostels and while on one hand, they will help the students to get the housings and residents, these housings will still be apartments and will not look like dorm rooms at all. They have reserved areas and apartments where the students are placed but it is certainly not a dormitory so there are no shared showers, hall bathrooms and yes, you will get kitchens now.

c. No Assignments and Quizzes:

In Germany, the grade of the entire course is dependentupon term projects or large assignments, which for some students is a very good thing as they do not have to worry about unannounced quizzes and assignment submissions that they have not completed yet. This way the students get to focus on the course outline and the course content throughout the sessions and then put all of the learning in one term project or assignment for the teacher to judge them by their performance and the knowledge that they have retained over this longperiod of time.

Germany is a very culturallydiverse country becauseof thefact that students from all across theworld come here to study and excel in their respective field andGermany, regardless of their caste, color, creed or country, welcomes them and makes them feel at home with their hospitality and generosity.
