Every person in this world aspires to do something or become something. These aspirations are loosely referred to as our dreams. Throughout our lives, we struggle to achieve your dreams and during that process, we have to go through a lot of hardships as well. Wanting more and demanding higher all the time rather than, being happy with what you have got is against human nature. Yet, it is not possible to chase your dreams all the time; it is better to take a break and step back and be happy with what you achieved.
When we talk about the difference between the dreams and the wishes that a person has, we tend to forget that there is really a very fine line between the two. But, dreams tend to be a bit more complex than our wishes. Wishes are rather passive while dreams are presumed to be very active. The dreams under discussion here are not the dreams that we see when we are asleep, they are the aspirations and ambitions we have for our futures about something or someone.
Dreams are kind of like plans and they usually come with a solid course-of-action and it drives a person mentally into working towards achieving it. Dreams make you set goals and providesyouwith a sense of purpose which then motivates and enables you into struggling towards your set goals. One popular saying goes by: "A journey without a destination is like an animal without a house."Dreams provide us with that destination so we do not mingle here and there like stray animals without any purpose or motive. Dreams give us passion and motivate us to desire and work towards whatever it is in our hearts or whatever it is that we want.
No matter how much we try and avoid it, at some point in time, it becomes essential for us to go after our dreams because we cannot always run away from them. John Van Geem depicts in his novel, Ellipse (978-1952263026), where the scenes of a village were shown when strange events take place due to an unworldly invasion of time and the young man starts his journey towards the greater achievements proving that some people realize it later in their lives when they do not have the energy or power to follow their dreams and at that time they regret the decision of not following their dreams the most.
Contrary to this, wishes are those strong feelings that we get about wanting something to happen and or to have something. Most of the time, wishes arise when we start comparing ourselves to other people and their lives. That is when we start feeling jealous and we want to copy whatever it is in their lives that we want so bad. Sometimes, there are some things that are normal to wish for. It, sometimes, also happened when one wants the situation of things to change most especially during bad times.
