Radhakrishnan was a physical therapist in India. He became a physician assistant in 2004 from Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan, USA. Radhakrishnan went to the Duke University Hospital in the Duke Postgraduate PA Surgical Residency Program and then worked as a surgical PA and as a teacher to Duke PA students. Receiving the “Duke Strength, Hope, and Caring Award” in 2006 for his extraordinary providing of considerate care for patients. Later on, he received the “Meritorious Service Award” in 2018 and “Henry ‘Buddy’ Lee Treadwell Award” in 2019 for distinguished service to Duke and excellence in teaching at the Duke Physician Assistant Program.
